T-Day

We are enjoying a modest thanksgiving this year with only Patty as our guest. 

Soon we feast and tomorrow we go to the big Kris Kringle Fest in Bethlehem. 

November Blackout

At 10:03 this morning a car smashed thru the power pole at the top of our road shearing the pole in half.  The power went out at that time.  The remnants of the pole are just dangling by the wires and very dangerous.  And we are experiencing very high winds.

Even our poor street sign was busted in two.  None of the other neighbors seem to be around.  But I went up to see the damage and the EMTs and police are already gone.  I think the dangling pole is dangerous and so I called PPL, the power company and reported the danger.  We're not expected to get power before 4:30pm today.  Luckily we are off soon on a Sam's Club run.

Out of Africa

MPL and I took a little timble around the countryside and stumbled upon the remarkable water park Kalahari near Mt. Pocono. Kinda feels like a casino for kids. Beautiful decor and great fun. But the cheapest room is $400 a night.
